Each week we'll endeavour to publish some details of the interesting things that members of DoES Liverpool have been up to over the past seven days. You can find out a bit more about them in
our introductory post.
And remember, if you're involved with DoES Liverpool at all, let us know what you get up to so we can include it here!
Less than a week until the DoES Liverpool Open Day – Saturday 30th August
We’re celebrating our 14th birthday with an OpenDay and Party on Saturday 30th August! More details
A Birthday Boost
Please help us spread the word! If you, or any of your friends, could do with a Boost to get a new idea off the ground (or even just to keep going…), then take a look at our Boost scheme – 6 months free desk or workshop membership here at DoES Liverpool, conveniently
situated near the centre of the city. Join our innovative community!
It’s a draw so everyone has an equal chance.

above? who knows, we'll work it out together) with me at
@DoESLiverpool ?Come along to the Active Travel Hackday!
Adrian McEwen:Happened upon this
#ThrowbackThursday picture, from one of the first
#MakerNight sessions, back in February 2011!It shows
@DoESLiverpool's first 3D printer, although it's hard to spot as it's still just a collection of laser-cut wooden panels and other parts at that point 😀
Braidbunch:We'll be taking part in the DoES Liverpool Maker & Craft Fair from midday to 5pm on Saturday 30th August. Come along
and try some braiding using the recycled plastic kumihimo discs we made at
@plastacs Plastic Playground session last week! Maybe make a key fob!It's part of DoES Liverpool's Birthday Celebrations and Open Day. Follow them
@DoESLiverpool to find out more!
Adrian McEwen:It worked quite nicely. Got some video and photos to share, so I'll
write it up on the
@museuminabox blog.In the meantime, a sneak peek...
Maker Night
Our free weekly evening meeting, where you can find out about our space and all the making equipment in it, get a laser cutter or CNC embroidery machine induction, and work on projects from physical computing and electronics to 3d printing, CNC routing and
sewing. Just pay for materials used.
The DoES Liverpool to-do list is stored in the
issues of our Somebody Should repository on github. Head over there if there's something you'd like to report, or if you want to help out fixing things.
