Oops! In the back of my mind, the deadline was 9 p.m. (busy day today), so I never sent a definition. <sigh>
 
I'll reward the following (who obviously did send a definition!):

 7 and 11 are similar but then so are 1 and 3 so I will go for something other half way between each pair
