With 6 hours to go, I've now received defs of the word GUMPHEON from the following 7 players:

                 Dave Cunningham, Glenn Davis, Paul Keating, Judy Madnick, Efrem Mallach, Shani Naylor, Mike Shefler, and   Dan Widdis.

Since you and Tim are both in the UK, if all else fails, you could give him a phone call. His number is in Judy's player contact list (email 22 May 2024).

I'd suggest a text, but the number looks like a landline to me.

Problem solved! Johnny successfully sent his def to an alternate email address, and I discovered his earlier attempts in my spam filter.  I'll send my Gmail address and my mobile/cell phone number to Judy for her to include in the next edition of the Players List.

Afterthought: if players have put their mobile/cell number on the list, you may also be able to contact them, free of charge, on WhatsApp.

Players in North America have sometimes been reluctant to list a mobile number in case someone phones, instead of sending a text or using WhatsApp. That might result in the called party's network levying high charges on the incoming call. (Or not, it's complicated.) In Europe we don't have that problem.
