Hi everyone!

Does anyone on the list have a copy of Olshevsky's "Mesozoic Meanderings #3" scanned? I've got copies of his Tyrannosaur review (1995) and 1991 survey of archosaur taxa but not this one. Curious to have a look!

It's titled "An Annotated Checklist of Dinosaur Species by Continent."

Thanks!

The lists themselves were available as Word files years ago, which I made into a pdf ( https://www.mediafire.com/file/28npneareriy2uc/Olshevsky+2000+Mesozoic+Meanderings+3+Ponerosteus.pdf/file ), but I would be interested in the actual paginated version as well. I know it exists because I also have a scan of the Ponerosteus entry showing that's on page 127, with the printed text on the other side of the page vaguely visible showing it's two-sided. The first two Mesozoic Meanderings had interesting introductory parts, so did this one as well?

I just had a look through part of my old library and found a complete hard copy of the checklist (copy 101 of 115 it says on the cover). I can scan it, but at 157 pages it will take a little time. Is this still something people want? (I don't want to go to all that effort if someone has already done it.

cheers

Speaking for myself, I can definitely say I would be interested.

No worries, I'll scan it when  I get a free moment or two.

I would definitely be interested and think it would be good for the community due to its apparently limited print run and George's passing.

If we could determine who the copyright holder is with George's passing (such as if George had a spouse, children, or left the rights to his work to another individual or institution), permission could be sought to allow it to be posted publicly like on the Internet Archive. Since the material is self-published, it's been less than 70 years since George's passing nor is it 95 years since it was published, it would not fall into the public domain yet. It should enter the public domain in 2095.

Tracy Ford should know, I guess, and he did the illustrations for this as well

 Hello Everyone,

I am not a Paleontologist, just a retired Software Engineer that was a friend of George.
I read just about everything that is posted on the DMG.

On 27-October-1995, George sent me a listing of ALL genera and who were the authors.  He agreed with me that this listing, after numerous corrections on his part, should be put on the internet as a living document.  Always being updated as new genera are authored.  Thank you DMG, this listing is still being updated and is at:

http://dinosaurs-on-stamps.info/d-genera.html

I have been keeping this list updated for over 30 years and have learned alot from the experts but since I am not a Paleontologist I seldom post.  Just read what the experts say.

Again, thank you for ALL the knowledge that has past through the DMG,
Robert Margulski
