Never mind that the area in question "subducted into the Earth approximately 250 million years ago."  [Mike Taylor loves these kinds of headlines.]  There was no mention of dinosaurs in the article, not even T. rex!

Incidentally, the lead authors on this paper are my Departmental colleagues. And not, no dinosaur in the paper itself: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.ado1219

Thanks for the link to the actual paper.  It looks like the author of the news article plucked the first date he saw (250 million years ago) and jumped on the mention of "Mesozoic" and "Cretaceous."  The paper explains the events with much more clarity.  The editors probably added "Dinosaur."
