Dear List Members,

I suspect this may be a variant on the "duct cleaning scam". 

In some variants an person will come and offer an actual cleaning service, but other times they will do a substandard job, or simply take your money and run. In all cases, it involves spamming social media, community listservs, and the like, with promotions for non-existent companies. 

Though in this case the scammers may not have realized this listserv is for an interest community rather than a neighborhood or town.
