Posting on behalf of Aubrey Bonde (email included below); not necessarily dinosaurs, but the mountains have outstanding geological and paleontological records:

The National Park Service, in conjunction with the American Geosciences Institute, announces an exciting opportunity for upper-level undergrad or graduate students in paleontology. Would you like to spend one week of your winter break in sunny Los Angeles? Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, one of the NPS’s most fossiliferous park units, is hosting a one-week field camp for 4 students to be held in early January 2026. Participants will gain experience in field inventories and assessments, museum collections, and will learn about NPS paleontological resource management practices. Participants will be provided a stipend of $2,500 to reimburse their travel, room, and board. If interested, please email a resume, brief statement of interest, and contact information for one reference to aubrey...@nps.gov.
