to Health committee
Hey Everyone,
I'm back in town and I met with Don Moore, the interim city manager, about the Parks and Rec Commission.  We went over the cost impacts the Commission would have on the city and he will work on getting some numbers together to submit to the City finance committee so we can be included in next year's budget.  I stressed that we would like to be as self sustaining as possible and he felt that our effort is similar to the volunteer run Sam Fox museum.  I'll let you know when I have more budget details.  Once the council approves the budget, the Commission could be appointed.

We scheduled a meeting for this coming Monday the 9th but I wonder if it is necessary at this point.  Any thoughts?

Thanks for doing the meeting with Mr. Moore, Patrick.  I am hopeful about annexation and tax income and hopeful about increasing cigarette taxes to fund recreational activities.

It seems like the commission should be approved and appointed.

One benefit of a meeting is to get awareness/surveys at the bike/walk to work on May 20th.

I am also OK if  have no meeting until a commission is approved.

Carolyn
