The Dillingham city council approved a resolution today establishing a park and rec committee.   This committee will advise the city manager and the council on issues relating to the use of city facilities and the organizing of activities.  This is a first step toward evaluating the feasibility of and the need for a parks and rec department.  The committee will serve as a clearinghouse for information and a place to discuss issues related to parks and rec. The committee term is two years and further action will be decided at that time.   If you are interested in serving on the committee contact Janice Williams the city clerk before January 12, 2012.
