Teaching: "Precious Garland of Tenets"
Tenets or Philosophical theory:
Written by Gon-chok-jik-may-wang-bo (1728-1791). It covers Indian
Buddhist schools as viewed in Tibet and provides a solid introduction
to the Buddhist theory animating the practice. Topics include the two
truths, consciousness, hindrances to enlightenment, paths to freedom,
and fruits of practice.
Why do we study this topic?
A person who seeks liberation must work at the means of understanding
the correct view of selflessness. No matter how much love,
compassion, and altruism you have cultivated, you cannot remove the
root of suffering without the profound view of selflessness.
Khenchen Rinpoche was born in India 1972. When he was eight years old
he entered Drepung Monastery. At the age of 16th His Holiness
recognized him as the 4th Incarnation of Khenchen Rinpoche. Having
been recognized as the 4th Khenchen Rinpoche, he moved to Sera Jey
Monastery where he continued his studies. Rinpoche received his final
vows from His Holiness in 1994. In 2001 he received his Geshe degree
at Sera Jay Monastery. Khenchen Rinpoche is currently resident teacher
