Job Title :

Assistant Manager Engineering Procurement

Location:

Karachi

Educational Qualifications & Experience             

·         Degree in Engineering with 5-6 years of relevant experience in Technical Procurement & Sourcing with a leading Manufacturing or Process Industry.

·         Possess a professional certificate in purchasing management preferred

Skill set for this Position

·         Must have experience in high level of commodities & high tech sourcing and supplier development

·         Proven general capabilities in procurement practices and supplier and/or customer development

·         Proven specific capabilities in understanding and communicating the technical aspects of the goods and services procured.

Job Responsibilities

·         Develop/Improve and maintain a purchasing system that is efficient and reliable.

·         Regularly review Company’s Technical purchasing requirements.

·         Evaluate all requisitions, particularly engineering change implementations to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.

·         Maintain and update databases of available suppliers and prices information.

·         Negotiate prices and contract agreements for favorable deals, to achieve a significant favorable purchase price variance.

·         Qualify vendors and maintains close surveillance on their performance in relation to their products conformance to our specifications and quality standards, services provided and pricing. If necessary, survey vendors’ facilities and inspects products to ensure our requirements are met.

·         Constantly engage the engineering team for detail BOM and technical clarifications.

·         To ensure the engineering drawings/information are sufficient for quotation.
