Job Title :

Manager Maintenance

Location:

Karachi

Educational Qualifications & Experience             

·         Mechanical or Electrical Engineer from a recognized university with 6-8 years of technical exposure in a reputed FMCG or Pharmaceutical with management experience in processing/packaging operations in a food and beverage or consumer goods industry.

Skills

·         Demonstrated experience implementing TPM and Planned Maintenance Pillar leadership is an asset.

·         Strong mechanical and process aptitude.

·         Ability to lead and participate in a multi-functional, team based environment.

·         Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations including working in a unionized environment.

·         Proven ability to build and lead a high performance technical team.

·         Previous computerized maintenance management systems experience and a solid knowledge of AMM-SAP a definite asset.

·         Solid understanding of Safety regulations, Maintenance principles and Quality Assurance are required.

·         Demonstrated leadership skills, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Strong organizational skills.

·         Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in a dynamic fast paced environment.

·         Ability to think broadly, takes initiative, provide solutions and convert into action when faced with challenges.

Job Responsibilities

·         Accountable for the overall safe, secure, efficient and cost effective management of all Maintenance functions. 

·         Effectively lead a team to deliver superior results across all areas of Maintenance.

·         Ensure that all maintenance activities enhance personal and product safety, quality, protection of the environment and operations performance by providing engineering and technical leadership to the maintenance function (TPM Planned Maintenance Pillar).

·         Enable high performance operation providing assets’ maintenance according to the company Strategy (using TPM as the multi-discipline approach to maintain / improve fixed assets and AMM to manage their life cycle). 

·         Support and contribute to proper technical store management.

·         Have a leadership role in the Planned Maintenance Pillar and in the implementation of TPM in the factory.

·         Ensure downtime is reviewed and root cause analysis is conducted (GSTD’s and Breakdown Analysis).

·         Regularly review and analyze labour performance, material and expense costs to determine maintenance performance standards and to manage maintenance department budget.

·         Develop and manage routine and extraordinary maintenance budgets.Work planning-prioritization of maintenance resources for day-to-day and major maintenance activities.

·         Responsible for identifying and prioritizing major (chronic) maintenance issues with production and to initiate and develop action plans to resolve issues.

·         Ensure maintenance complies with Safety and Environmental Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as outlined in the Regulatory and Corporate guidelines, environmental, safety, and      business systems. Compliance involves accountability for adequate documentation, procedure, housekeeping, sanitation, dress code, etc.

·         Promote and enhance a positive working environment through teamwork and high level of employee involvement.

·         Ensure ongoing capability building, technical training, feedback and coaching of team to optimize performance levels.

·         Communicate to supervisors, team members and site management on key performance issues.

·         Ensure supervisory teams foster a safe working environment throughout all aspects of the maintenance function.

·         Effectively manage all relevant administrative processes in a timely and accurate manner.

·         Pursue improvement opportunities and provide technical support for capital improvements.
