Job Title :	Utility Manager
Location:	Karachi - Pakistan
Educational Qualifications & Experience	BE – Industrial & manufacturing with an MBA from a reputed university (preferable) with 3-5 years of experience as Utility Engineer performing Operation & Maintenance of Utility Equipment i-e Absorption chillers, DI Plant, Air compressors, Generators etc
Skills Required	·         Must have certifications in Operational Health & Safety , Leading Edge , HVACR ·         Influencing skills, ability to manage conflict, able to influence upwards to set medium and long term direction for change program and then influence all levels in the plant to achieve targets. ·         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization ·         Strong teamwork with an ability to interact with people from all functions and levels within the organization ·         Strong teamwork with an ability to interact with people from all functions and levels within the organization. ·         Energy and enthusiasm that creates a stimulating change oriented workplace. ·         Good levels of English written and oral communication skills ·         Fluent local language skills. ·         Preventive Maintenance

Job Responsibilities	Strategic Planning ·         Participate in the Annual and Strategic Planning activity. Provide useful inputs regarding existing production and maintenance capacities, and requirements, to achieve the Projected Plans. ·         Prepare Engineers and Supervisors for Succession Planning. ·         Actively participate in preparation of Business Continuity Plans. ·         Participation in preparation of Site Facility Master Plan. ·         Actively contribute in technology transfer processes to move towards automation ·         Apply new technology as a driving force for process simplification, economical and Effective payback times. Operational  Business ·         Ensure that all engineering utilities activities – planned preventive maintenance, quality of work and staff safety – are undertaken in a manner consistent with cost targets. ·         Ensure continuous improvement and efficiency in all work processes ·         Optimize the utilization of available Engineering resources to maximize outputs. ·         Planning the activities related to the maintaining and repairing of Physical systems of utilities equipment. ·         Participate in cross-functional teams and provide engineering inputs Support services ·         Ensure continuous improvement, economical and efficient Engineering process ·         Control and manage engineering supplies and contractual service to ensure satisfied quality, spare inventory and service level. ·         Monitor Engineering related Risks Assessment procedures as well as Self Inspections. Compliance and Procedural Implementations ·         Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedure so that engineering activities are operated safely, support production, and comply with Group and Local regulatory requirements ·         Ensure that all engineering related systems are maintained within their validated Parameters to achieve consistent quality and reliability. ·         Ensure that plant engineering design and construction comply with legal Requirements. ·         Liaise with Government authorities and Utility Companies to fulfill Regulatory requirement and smooth operation of site. ·         Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and Safety regulations and practices applicable to this position. ·         Providing Engineering support for preparation of Site Quality plans periodically and ensure compliance and continuous Quality improvement. ·         Identify engineering related EHS performance measures, set targets and routinely Review performance and progress. ·         Ensure compliance with Global GSK policies and procedures comprising of GMP, ETCM, TPs, BCP, EHS, GQP and QMS policies.
