 Our Next Club BBQ will be on Wednesday, July 30th, starting at 6PM. Mark your calendars and save the date! Remember there will be No BBQ's in the month of August because of my pending hip surgery. Thank you for understanding !

Note: On Saturday, August 2ND, starting at 9:00AM, we will be having a field cleanup morning to clean the weeds out of the south end of the flying field. On that morning there will be NO FLYING until 1:00PM. We Will need at least A DOZEN volunteers! Keep in mind the more volunteers the  shorter the cleanup time. We need people to bring, scrapers, shovels, weed whackers, rakes, brooms, pump weed sprayers and wheel barrows if possible. This section of the field needs attention because the weeds are out of control due to the excessive rain, soooo, time to clean it up. Hopefully Sperling will be spraying the weeds this coming week which should make the job a little easier. I know it's hot and sticky but if you come and help for an hour to hour and a half,  it would be a great help. Hope you can come pitch in and help cleanup the field!

  Tomorrow morning, Mr Kevin Leisy is going to be using the weed drag on the weeds at the south end of the field.PLEASE DO NOT FLY WHILE HE IS DOING THIS ! WAIT UNTIL HE'S FINISHED! Let's keep it safe!

Reminder-This coming Saturday, August 1St , starting at 9Am and going until 1:00 PM, we will be doing a flying field clean up. During this time there will be NO FLYING. We will be working on cleaning out the weeds on the Runway and pit  area. I hope a lot of you will participate . Bring weed whackers, shovels, brooms and pump sprayers and scrapers if you have them to clean up the weeds primarily on the southern end of the field. The more help we have the faster it will get done! I hope to see you there!

This is to let all members know that the sealcoating and striping job for the runway was voted on and passed by a majority vote. Look to your emails for when we plan on having this job completed.It would most likely occur either late August or very early September. I was informed that the total job could be as little as 2 days or as long as 4 days(weather permitting). Either way I will keep the membership posted on progress. Also we will have to do a thorough weed clean up on the North end of the flying field before this project takes place! Again look to your emails for when the next cleanup detail will take place!

Some Sad news, former member Brent Dejong passed away on Friday August 8th.Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We don't have much other information yet, but when I get it I will pass it on to the membership.
