HAITI RELIEF COALITION
consists of people from Winters and environs with help from the
Winters' Soroptimist and Rotary Clubs. The coalition is
dedicated to helping with the long-range recovery of the people of
Haiti. For this event the coalition is working with the Haiti
Emergency Relief Fund, HERF. Based in the East Bay, HERF is a
strong nonprofit organization that has worked with small groups in
Haiti to assure that all their assistance gets into the hands of those
who need it.
LAMBAZZ is a group of veteran jazz musicians, who having
retired from professional careers, are now devoting time to the music
they love. Cliff Lamb, the leader and saxophonist; Bob Bell, the
bassist, and Nick Uren, drummer, have been together over 15 years.
Frank Dupree, vocalist and keyboard player, has the deepest, richest
voice you are likely to hear anywhere.
