Prologue: It is Not About Islam
Before you read the following notes, please be aware that Texas hostage Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker has emphasized that he does not see a “Clash of Civilizations” at work in the deplorable episode, and we have learned that his close relationships with both Muslims and Christians played an important role in the standoff:
Though The Tikvah Fund-controlled Jewish media is not reporting it, the rabbi is apparently to the Left on the Zionist issue:
As you will soon see, The Tikvah Fund has some very different ideas in the matter.
And Still No Oath Keepers Indictment!
In case you might have missed it, last Sunday I posted an important item on The Tikvah Fund that reviewed, in what is I believe exhaustive detail, the deafening silence of everyone in Zalman Bernstein world on the DOJ indictments of the Oath Keepers, as well as the many legal developments that are bringing the Zombie Orange Pig and his criminal cabal closer to Justice:
https://groups.google.com/g/Davidshasha/c/s2ZTFf5xhC0
Given that I prepared the notes, as I do all the Sunday posts, prior to Shabbat, I felt that in this case it was necessary to add an additional note with Tikvah materials sent out on Shabbat itself.
There was still nothing on the Oath Keepers, friends of Trump and bodyguards to Roger Stone, but I did include a Special Bulletin from Bari Weiss – another Tikvah Trumpscum enabler – who broke her sacred day of rest by posting an item on the Texas Synagogue mess:
I am sure that all of us were keeping an eye on our newsfeeds or televisions for good news, and, indeed it was not long after Shabbat ended that the good news came:
https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog-january-15-2022/
I am sure that we can all agree that the outcome was ideal.
As I am just as sure that the dangers presented by Trumpworld are still with us, and are not being addressed in Tikvahworld.
The Whore of Trump does a Tikvah Tablet The Scroll Special Report – Still No Oath Keepers!
I was thus not at all surprised to see on Sunday morning that Rittenhouse Republican Trumpscum Tikvah Tablet The Scroll Jacob Siegel gave the Texas Synagogue hostage drama the Bari Weiss treatment:
https://mailchi.mp/tabletmag/aafiasiddiqui-and-the-standoff-atcongregation-beth-israel?e=4b6f9b46a8
We will recall that neither Siegel or any of his Tikvah Tablet colleagues thought it significant to mention the Oath Keepers, but we did get a very detailed discussion of the hostage drama:
An 11-hour standoff at a Texas synagogue on Saturday, in which the rabbi and three congregants were taken hostage, ended after an FBI rescue unit breached the building and all four were safely freed. The hostage-taker, UK citizen Malik Faisal Akram, is dead, though law enforcement has not yet confirmed the cause of death or given an official account of his motive.
There were, however, strong indications of the suspect’s motives in his references to a convicted terrorist with reputed ties to al-Qaida named Aafia Siddiqui. After entering the Beth Israel Synagogue in Colleyville, Texas, the suspect was captured on a video that the congregation was using to livestream its services, demanding that the U.S. government release Siddiqui. The demand echoed a call made by leading Muslim American organizations, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim advocacy group in the U.S., which has taken up Siddiqui’s cause. In the livestream, the hostage-taker referred to himself as Siddiqui’s brother, but Siddiqui’s lawyer later issued a statement denying that they were related. In addition to her conviction on terrorism related charges, Siddiqui was vocally anti-Jewish and once wrote a letter to Barack Obama, according to Deborah Scroggins’ 2012 book Wanted Women, in which Siddiqui urged the former president: “Study the history of the Jews. They have always back-stabbed everyone who has taken pity on them and made the ‘fatal’ error of giving them shelter … This why ‘holocausts’ keep happening to them repeatedly!” CAIR maintains that Siddiqui was unfairly convicted and has held numerous rallies calling for her release. Last November, CAIR co-hosted an event, along with the prominent progressive activist and former Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour, called “the campaign to free Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.” In addition to being popular with American activists, Siddiqui’s plight, “plays an outsized role in jihadi folklore,” according to terrorism researcher Seamus Hughes, who notes that multiple Islamist organizations including ISIS and the Taliban have attempted to get her released.
A Pakistani neuroscientist, Siddiqui studied in the U.S. at Brandeis University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2008, after being detained in Afghanistan possessing what U.S. officials said were plans for mass-casualty attacks in the U.S., she was taken for questioning when she allegedly seized a weapon and opened fire on her interrogators. A federal judge found the “strength of the government’s case was overwhelming,” and she was sentenced to 86 years. During her trial in 2009, Siddiqui unsuccessfully petitioned the court to give jurors a DNA test to prove they were not Jewish. “This is a verdict coming from Israel and not from America. That’s where the anger belongs,” she said after her conviction.
Some media accounts of the still-developing story out of Texas have appeared to downplay the attack on the synagogue and its connection to anti-Jewish ideology. The Guardian newspaper, for instance, ran a story about the incident that placed the word “hostage” in quotation marks. The Associated Press, meanwhile, ran a story under the headline: “The FBI says the Texas synagogue hostage taker's demands were specifically focused on issue not connected to the Jewish community.” It’s not clear what issue they are referring to, but if it was freeing Aafia Siddiqui, as multiple other press accounts indicate, to characterize it as being “not connected” to the Jewish community would be highly misleading—an impression compounded by the fact that in its own story, the AP emphasized that Siddiqui made “rambling statements,” suggesting that she was mentally disturbed but made no mention of her numerous statements about Jews. Never to be outdone, Twitter, meanwhile, appears to be promoting the campaign to “free Aafia Siddiqui”—encouraging people using its platform to read about the case.
Siegel uses the space to attack those he feels are soft on Islamofascism and its terrorism; never once addressing the threats coming from Trumpworld.
Tikvah Tablet The Scroll Falsely Calls Voter Suppression Legitimate “Voter I.D. Laws” – and Still No Oath Keepers!
On Wednesday Tikvah Tablet The Scroll made the big move to Substack – but still no Oath Keepers, or anything on the ongoing mess in Trumpworld with subpoenas and document dumps:
Here is the money shot:
As the culmination of a losing campaign to rally opposition to voter ID laws, President Biden called the laws “Jim Crow 2.0” in a tweet Tuesday. One way to read the overwrought tone of the president’s tweet is as a response to the recent polls showing a dramatic decline in support for Democrats from minority voters over the past year. Notably, requirements for voters to show a photo ID to cast a ballot enjoy overwhelming support, including from a strong majority of Black voters.
We have already seen how Tikvahworld is dealing with the Voter Suppression Trumplaws from David Brooks and Yuval Levin:
https://groups.google.com/g/Davidshasha/c/k0_twoIt-lM
The idea is not only to pretend that new Voter Suppression laws do not exist, but to do a Lysol Projection, as we see in Trumpscum Siegel and his Whore of Trump boss, and accuse those fighting the Suppression of trying to use extra-legal tactics.
It has been the Moscow Mitch strategy:
This is how you do Trump 2.0!
Bari Weiss Knows What She Wants – and it is Not the Oath Keepers Indictment!
Last week I was forced to keep reading longer than I usually do, just to make sure that I did not miss any Shabbat posts that might have exonerated them.
https://groups.google.com/g/Davidshasha/c/s2ZTFf5xhC0
It just so happened that on that very Shabbat we had the Texas Synagogue hostage standoff, which thankfully ended well – the terrorist killed, the Jewish hostages saved unharmed.
In my original Oath Keepers Tikvah post I made note of Bari Weiss’ Special Bulletin, written and posted in violation of the Shabbat.
I have just made note of a Special Bulletin Sunday post from Tikvah Tablet The Scroll, and on Monday morning we got one more from Weiss herself:
Comparative readers of the two Tikvah articles will notice a strong similarity in approach and content, but with a somewhat different tone.
We must recall that Weiss is writing for a much wider audience than the Tikvah White Jewish Supremacists, so there is a softening of the usual Norman Podhoretz-Ruth Wisse shrillness that we get from The Scroll rantings.
But in the end, it is really the same thing – a recapitulation of the Tikvah view of Anti-Semitism that suffused Andrew Goldberg’s tendentious Tikvah documentary:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GRObunZBnMD5tOWeQ7v6bQwEDiJo1a_jzUZZDmeZ8eE/edit
In the case of the Texas Synagogue, we see two important elements central to the Tikvah mentality: The conversation can be moved from Trump to Islamic terrorism, which then means that the Trump Alt-Right can be ignored more easily, as Bernard Lewis rears his ugly head again.
Indeed, it feels like – at the very moment when we are finally on the cusp of some reckoning on the Trump Alt-Right – that the Trumpscum Jews have found a way to turn the page on the whole thing.
And this can then allow the very clever Weiss and her Tikvah Rufo allies to maintain their White Snowflake anti-Black racism, by using Anti-Semitism and Islam as a cover.
And on MLK Day to boot!
Well played indeed!
Tikvah, Aafia Siddiqui, and Jewish Fascist Terrorism
We should continue to understand that the Jewish Fascists, led by Trumpscum Yoram Hazony, are still very much a part of The Tikvah Fund:
https://tikvahfund.org/faculty/yoram-hazony/
For those who might have missed it, here is my latest special newsletter on the Alt-Right Zionist deplorable:
https://groups.google.com/g/Davidshasha/c/_5JAP2WDw44
I would also like to point out this 2015 article by Liel Leibovitz, which expresses some ambivalence about Jewish Fascism and its connection to Trump:
https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/kahane-trump
Leibovitz follows the usual Whore of Trump sneakiness about the Zombie Orange Pig, and since the 2016 election has refrained from going ballistic on Trump and the damage he has caused to America.
We should also point out White Jewish Supremacist Shaul Magid, whose book on Meir Kahane has been highlighted in Tikvah Tablet:
https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/community/articles/meir-kahane-shaul-magid-excerpt
Though his anti-Tikvah articles are relegated to Religion Dispatches:
https://religiondispatches.org/author/shaul-magid/
The following articles explain Kahane and Zionist terrorism:
https://www.timesofisrael.com/rabbi-meir-kahane-and-israels-far-right-explained/
https://www.vox.com/2015/8/12/9134055/israel-jewish-terrorism
AP has just published a very useful article on the Muslim terrorist Aafia Siddiqui, who is at the heart of the Texas hostage matter:
https://apnews.com/article/afghanistan-texas-al-qaida-c2252466c290784620c3d5c0a46a5523
For some context, we have recently had a confrontation between the Muslim advocacy group CAIR over Jewish institutions donating money to Islamophobic groups:
https://www.jpost.com/j-spot/article-692245
We can see the link between Siegel’s post and this more explicit one from Right Wing HASBARAH attack dog Dave Lange which goes after CAIR:
Siegel’s idea is to stoke the Clash of Civilizations battle, per Tikvah hero Bernard Lewis:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nSdrjtm-qKwYxEkewoX5ZNQpx28lJZs1no8hOmZrVKY/edit
All sorts of people and organizations are free to speak out as they wish, as long as the US legal process remains free from corruption; a matter that the Tikvah Trumpscum enablers do not care about in the least – except when it comes to Muslims.
I am loath to do any bothsidesism when it comes to terrorism, but we should be aware that there is a shrillness about all of this – which, when coupled with The Tikvah Fund’s refusal to acknowledge the Oath Keepers, remains a troubling matter in the Jewish community.
Bari Weiss Troll the Libs All the Way: Still No Oath Keepers!
On Thursday we got some more Common Sense Trumpist Intersectionality.
The Neo-Con Tikvah-allied Jewish Insider made us aware of the reprehensible Bill Maher’s new season opener:
https://mailchi.mp/c2698e3e80bb/daily-kickoff-781502?e=[UNIQID]
In case you were not aware:
The new season of “Real Time With Bill Maher” returns tomorrow, with Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) and writer Bari Weiss appearing on Friday night’s premiere episode of the show’s 20th season.
We already know how Rep. Torres is a big Neo-Con Tikvah fave:
https://bariweiss.substack.com/p/can-you-be-a-progressive-and-support
By doing the Shabbat appearance on Maher, Weiss can violate it two weeks in a row!
What would her Rabbi Meir Soloveichik say?
In this week’s newsletter we have an article on the vile New Atheist Richard Dawkins, and with the appearance of Weiss on Maher’s show, the gang’s all here!
Also on Thursday, we got this from Weiss herself:
All credit to Weiss, who had to go all the way to Canada to find yet another anti-COVID lockdown article from a teacher who admits to having no expertise in epidemiology.
Could she not find any equally unqualified American teachers to write one?
In the end, we continue to see what animates The Tikvah Fund Trumpscum Jews; who are always extremely careful never to actually speak His Holy Name explicitly, but who continue to follow the Lysol Talking Points and ensure that he remains in control of their beloved Republican Party.
