I hope this is finding you all well. Just wanted to hit you up for
some help when you get a minute... I am trying to come up with a solid
set list of best-loved "oldies" (Tangerine and back) to play on the
upcoming shows. Anything in particular that you would like to hear?
Please let me know, I live to serve.:)

"Almost and Always" is finally being released in physical form next
Tuesday August 25th. Tell all the people you know and love as well as
your enemies.

I am posting a bunch of links to blogs and press about the album on
the press thread in case you would like to read.

Much Love, See You Soon,

David

Though I expect the Northwest US isn't going to make it on the tour,
I'm more than happy to provide some input. This having been said, you
realize that we may come up with some songs that are our favorites but
little-known or less-accessible to the those not so completely
indoctrinated in your music.

Do you want to set any constraints or should we just go for it?

It would be great to see you out here, but I won't push it. If a trip
doesn't seem warranted, maybe I can figure out a way to fly you out
here to visit Jay and set up a promotional stop or two.

In the mean time, some songs.

- Comfort
- Patience
- Astronaut
- Beauty
- Chatterbox
- Mine and Yours
- Only In the Movies
- Fighting For Your Life
- Everyone Knows It But You
- No One Left To Blame
- Standing Here In Front of Me
- Ordinary Life

I chose quickly so I wouldn't think about it too much.  In five minutes I'm sure the list would be different.  It pains me to have to leave anything out.  My iTunes has 220 items, 13.4 hours of Mead.  I guess that's a bit too long for a set...

1. Sweet Sunshine
2. World of a King
3. Everyone Knows It But You
4. She Luisa
5. Flamin' Angel
6. Mine and Yours
7. Comfort
8. Girl On The Roof
9. Nashville
10. You Might See Him
11. Indiana
12. Bucket of Girls
13. New Mexico
14. Ordinary Life
15. Queensboro Bridge
16. Astronaut
17. Hold On
18. Wherever You Are
19. Only A Dream
20. How Much
21. Fighting For Your Life
22. Hallelujah, I Was Wrong
23. Choosing Teams

And Mongo would say play all of Indiana.  Coincidentally, he is in Kentucky this week.  Which means he will have one of THOSE drives home in a few days.

(The playlist above is now playing...I chose well)

"Comfort" and "Beauty" are in a category by themselves, amazingly
evocative, thoughtful and deeply emotional for me, like tiny audio
movies.

"Nashville," "You Might See Him," "Ordinary Life," "Breath You In,"
"Everyone Knows But You," "Wherever You Are" (the distant "Come Back"
echo toward the end almost makes me drive off of the road whenever I
hear it, it's so mind bendingly good) "Hold On," and "Make It Right"
are the others that come to mind at first blush.

I enjoy doing a David Mead shuffle, listening to whatever comes up. I
own all David Mead records and will continue on that path until he
makes his first Celtic rap record (though if anyone could make that
palatable, it would be David).

No fair listing the entire discography, Linda. Only kidding; it is
hard to narrow things down, isn't it?

I don't have much to add. There aren't any bad songs.

Listen to at least 50 seconds of Danny Boy on the player. LOL!

Wow. I couldn't listen to the beginning without hearing the ending.
Wow.

It's all out there somewhere. And Google finds a lot of it.
