Morning and happy new year to all. I was just curious if any of the
faithful here are interested in receiving and invite to Google Wave.
I have 11 left. I haven't done much with it myself, but it could be
an interesting place for DM conversations.

Saw you there Joe.
It's kind of like Facebook and the others in the beginning. If you
don't know anyone there (using it), it isn't much fun.
Let me know if we migrate there.

I created a new Wave that would house movie review info similar to the
Google Group. I don't like the idea of spreading the DM stuff across
different sites, but perhaps we could do some cut/paste action to
determine if it is useful at all. I'll be tagging DM waves with "David
Mead".

Well I replied to the invitation, but I have no
earthly idea what I'm doing. I seem to have an Inbox with nothing in
it. Do I need to add some of you guys as contacts before I'll see
anything? Is a wave like a tweet, only googly? If you need my email
addy to find me it's utterlylinda <insert the at symbol> gmail
<dot> com. Or apparently they've given me a googlewave addy too.

I am just now reading and responding to this, Joe. I am open to giving
it a try. I need to read more about it, but from what I just scanned
in a search, it makes sense, particularly if it is widely used. I'll
give it a try.

It's not widely used. Yet. They were selling invitations when it first
came out because everyone wanted to get in on the next BIG thing.They
are pretty plentiful now though.
I have invitations left too. If you send me an email address Curt, I
can send you an invite.
It is in preview though. I tried to go from Wave to Google groups
yesterday and it got stuck in some loop that I had to close the window
to stop. Not a biggie, but not mainstream either.
