Oh, where, oh, where has Darragha been?

Anyone miss me?  I've been hiding under a rock since the beginning of August!  It was getting kind of damp under that rock and people were starting to call me, "Patrick," (as in Spongbob's friend who lives under a rock).  I crawled out from under long enough to pack and unpack, both at the day job and at home.  While I was living the life of the Queen of Cardboard Boxes, I had a book come out!

"Consumed" is included in Hearts Afire:  October.  I didn't exactly write "Consumed" alone.  I contacted my high school sweetheart from 30 years ago, as he is a fire department Battalion Chief.  He "introduced" me to a paramedic/firefighter friend of his named Pat.  Pat is a warrior poet.  From his stories I developed my character, Ben Storms.  Mrs. Giggles had this to say about Ben: His rhapsodies about the fire he battles constantly are erotic, sensual, and...intense...

"Consumed" is a tale close to my heart.  I became completely obsessed while writing it and it is imbued with the flame of first loves and dedication to duty.
