At a very young age we begin accerting, "I know". We often imagine that
what we know is the measure of our worth.
We know that "all of us possess knowledge." This "knowledge" puffs up, but
love builds up. (1Cor 8:1) When we go on and on about what we know then
we're full of hot air. But love builds up.
It's not, "Here take my hand and I'll pull you up to my level". That's not
building you up, that's pulling you down to my level. Love and humility go
hand in hand.
Jesus humbled himself and in love gave his life for us. That's the measure
of our worth.
We are learning to encourage one another and build one another up. Keep up
the good work. Let's pray.
Lord Jesus thank you for loving us. Help us in humility to encourage those
around us. Help us to share your love. Amen.
Today's very great and precious promise
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves
has been born of God and knows God. (1John 4:7)
We have God's word on it.
