THE 41st CONSECUTIVE ANNUAL
WOOSTER SQUARE CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

THE FESTIVITIES:


  • Friday night, April 25th:
  • Wooster Square Musicians Concert
  • 7:30 PM
  • St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 29 Wooster Place
  • Free
  • Suggested donation of $10 to help the church
  • Music by Bartok, Beethoven, Bresnick (neighbor!) Britten, Rossini & Verdi
  • Sterling assemblage of LOCAL ARTISTS linked to the WORLD
THE CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL PROPER

  • Sunday, April 27th:
  • 12 noon to 5:00 PM
  • Rain date Sunday, May 4th (do not even think it)
  • Italian Societies
  • Friend of Wooster Square Award(s)
  • HAND, the band, alternative rock with NEIGHBORS playing, CD & vinyl for sale
  • TUXEDO JUNCTION, Connecticut's premier Swing & Big Band
  • DRAMMA PER MUSICA, NYC and CT based Opera Company
  • ST. LUKE'S STEEL BAND, such sweet thunder, with Special Guest
  • HARMONY IN ACTION ORCHESTRA from MUSIC HAVEN
  • NAPPY'S PUPPETS, the shadow puppets of Jim Napolitano, 4 shows
  • HORIZON WINGS, raptor rescue up close- owls, hawks, A BALD EAGLE
  • Face Painting for anyone who needs a fresh face
  • ALL THE ABOVE: FREE!
  • More FOOD, DRINK, BAKED GOODS & TREATS than you can imagine

  • Handicap & Dignitary: lot of St. Michael Church (Thank you, Church!)
  • General Parking:
  • Conte-West Hills Middle School (1/2 block, secure) Chapel Street
  • Metropolitan Business Academy (where you park for the City Seed Farmers Market, a block and a bit, secure)
  • Dedicated New Haven Police Department Officer on duty
  • NO PARKING INSIDE WOOSTER SQUARE ITSELF
