SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Managing Director will be responsible for overseeing all staff
support and management systems, managing the DC office administration,
and will work closely with the Executive Director and Coalition
Coordinator as a leadership team for the Energy Action Coalition. The
Managing Director is a senior management position, responsible to and
collaborating with the Executive Director on the financial management of
the organization. The Managing Director is responsible for managing the
operations of EAC in an effective and facilitative manner. S/he is
concerned with the efficient and wise use of the EAC's financial and
human resources to achieve their goals and objectives, by collaborating
with the team to implement strategies, policies and programs, and
supporting and supervising the staff, consistent with objectives,
parameters, standards, and principles set by the Coalition's Council.
S/he will be responsible for directing the programs and administration,
with the Executive Director and Partners Director, and for facilitating
clear internal communication. The Managing Director will also support
major fundraising efforts for the Energy Action Coalition.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
* Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a nonprofit setting or
transferable business experience in a similar position, with
responsibility for financial management, human resources, and
organizational administration. Prior supervisory experience

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Energy Action Coalition is seeking an Environmental Justice and
Outreach Director that will be flexible and able to work on a variety of
exciting new projects as they unfold. The EJO Director will be part of
the field team and provide direct campaign support to several coalition
partners. The EJO Director will also build relationships with and invite
new organizations from under-represented constituencies to join the
coalition. The position will work closely with the Partners Director to
facilitate Anti-Oppression and Anti-Racism education for all coalition
members and the rest of central staff. Additional responsibilities
may include helping with budgeting, hiring, and coalition accountability
systems.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
*Network with organizations that work primarily with youth of color
in the U.S. and Canada who are involved (or would like to be involved) in
energy-related campaigns.
*Conduct outreach to new groups to bring into the coalition and serve as
their primary point of contact.
*Work closely with other EAC staff to advocate for environmental and
economic justice in coalition activities and policies. This may include
helping to develop agendas, vetting presentation and workshop ideas,
advising on policy positions, and/or conducting training
sessions.
*Provide direct field support for coalition partners.
*Work with the Managing Director on all hiring and the development of
central staff protocols.
*Work with the Field Director to facilitate integration of
Anti-Oppression into EAC campaign work.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
We are searching for a Partners Director that will be flexible and
able to work on a variety of exciting new projects as they unfold. Some
of your ongoing responsibilities will include working closely with other
central staff in several key areas. You will coordinate internal decision
making among EAC partners and Council/working groups. You will set up and
maintain internal communications systems for the coalition. You will work
closely with the Environmental Justice and Outreach Director to

members and the rest of central staff. You will cultivate and maintain
memberships and partnerships for Energy Action Coalition - focusing on

The Energy Action Coalition (EAC) seeks a dynamic, innovative, and
strategic Communications Director. The Communications Director works to
craft and coordinate all aspects of EAC central communications, online
and offline, in conjunction with the Media Director, Internet Organizer,
and coalition partners. The Communications Director seeks out new media,
communications, and online partnerships and opportunities for the
Coalition’s campaigns. The Communications Director also works with other
staff and coalition partners to develop messaging and materials and to
create written content. This is a leadership position that requires the
ability to motivate and support others to ensure the success of Energy
Action Coalition communications and campaigns.

Operations Manager

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Energy Action Coalition seeks a responsible, detail-oriented, and
flexible individual to fill the role of Operations Manager. The
Operations Manager will provide administrative support to the Managing
Director and Energy Action Coalition central staff. The Operations
Manager will maintain internal tracking systems, work with Energy Action
Coalition's fiscal sponsor, Earth Island Institute, to pay invoices,
reimburse employees, deposit checks and track all organizational income
and expenditure. Additionally, the Operations Manager will assist in
writing correspondence to funders and friends of the organizations,
tracking and writing financial reports, and otherwise ensure all
organizational bookkeeping is accurate and up to date. Finally, the
Operations Manager will also help to manage the physical office space and
order needed supplies.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide necessary administrative support to Managing Director and
EAC central staff
* Process invoices and deposits and act a financial liaison with Earth
Island Institute

Energy Action Coalition
is looking for young leaders to play pivotal roles in supporting the
largest grassroots movement to stop global warming. The Energy Action
Coalition Fellowship Program brings together shining stars in the youth
organizing movement to gain hands-on practical experience in their field
of interest while advancing EAC's effort to create change for a clean,
efficient, just and renewable energy future. Participants will coordinate
and support the work of over 700 local groups, 70 field organizers, 50
coalition partners and the central staff of the Energy Action Coalition
as we ramp up our organizing efforts for the biggest year of youth
climate organizing ever.
