registering for powershift, notifying Drexel Sierra Club will enable

You folks are incredible.

About 300 of you are registering for Power Shift '09 every day, and
we're fast approaching capacity. It's important you know this for two
reasons:

1) You should feel good about yourself for being part of the largest
summit on climate and energy in US history.

and

2) If you know anyone who hasn't yet registered; you should tell them
they need to immediately.

Not only is the regular registration deadline approaching this Sunday,
FEB 21 at 11:59pm PT, but we are getting to the point that we will
have to close registration entirely because we'll have as many people
as we can hold.

We also have some information for you. Very exciting stuff, in fact.

This week, we announced a great line-up of speakers, including:
Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, Congressman Ed Markey,
Congresswoman Donna Edwards, Mayor Rocky Anderson and Mayor John
Hickenlooper, Van Jones, Majora Carter, Adam Gardner of Guster, and if
you haven't already heard: sensational musical guests Santigold and
The Roots!

As extraordinary as that group is, there's even more that we're not
telling you quite yet. Just wait.

Beyond keynote speakers and music, we've scheduled meetings in over
300 Congressional offices for you to speak with your elected officials
face to face, and this has led dozens of media outlets - from the
biggest names in news to small independent filmmakers - to take notice
and sign up to be with us at Power Shift as well!

We also have some opportunities for you to help. Can you commit to
work at least one shift of four hours as a volunteer for Power Shift?
Hundreds of you have already signed up, and we need a few hundred
more.
