Testathon Preparation - Call for Volunteers

Hello DCAT Colleagues,

 

DCAT is responsible for managing DSpace community testathons for each release. The DSpace 9.0 Testathon dates are April 8 – April 17, 2025.

 

As mentioned at Tuesday’s DCAT meeting, I am seeking volunteers to help with DSpace 9.0 Testathon preparations.

 

I’m seeking 1-2 volunteers to assist with testathon preparation:

• Dates: March 24-April 4
• Time commitment: 2-4 hours
• Example activities:

• Building testathon information page and FAQ / guide
• Building testathon spreadsheet for tests (and reaching out to developers about tests)
• Help with communication messages to DSpace Community and DSpace National User Group Coordinators
• Setting up drop-in sessions/coordinating drop-in sessions

 

I’m also seeking 1-2 volunteers to help during the testathon:

• Dates: April 8-April 17
• Time commitment: 2-4 hours
• Example activities:
• Running drop-in sessions
• Monitoring testathon spreadsheet and submitting GitHub tickets (bug reports)
