Hello all,

While our DOIs are getting registered, we've been getting multiple emails about the updates for DOIs failing every day (we once had 437 emails in a month about DOI registration or update failing).  Any idea why this might be happening?

Typically we get 422 errors and BAD_ANSWER.  A specific error was org.dspace.identifier.doi.DataCiteConnector @ While reserving the DOI doi: [a fancy doi], we got a http status code 422 and the message "DOI [fancy DOI]: 'en_US' is not a valid value of the local union type.  at line 10, column 0"

Thanks for any light you can shed on this!
Best,
Carolyn.

Hi Carolyn,

It looks like it doesn't like the 'en_US'. Just 'en' might work.
We had a similar issue with the subject field. The file that needs to be updated is "dspace/config/crosswalks/DIM2DataCite.xsl"

But it looks like may be they have updated the XSL to use 'en-US' in dspace 7.6.3 which might fix the problem.

Thanks and Regards,
