Hi all,

A bit of advice please. Supplying an mxf file to a client who uses VidChecker. Their settings are RGB 64-940 +-5%.

Original file started off in DS using the safe Colorspace effect.

I then exported the mxf from MC, using the Safe Video Levels effect with the “422 Safe” checkbox on.

It failed.

It was easily fixed within DS by reducing the vibrancy of some magenta text but do you have any suggestions as to how to avoid that happening again in the future?

Cheers,
Tone :)

Based on my memory, DS Colorspace did create video levels that would pass but not always chroma levels that would. I always took a trip through both Waveform and Vector to make sure that I was within tolerance. We would occasionally get some ripping in chroma if it was too hot.

But it has been some years.
