David Eun, VP, Content Partnerships has just blogged about Google's
approach to content and respecting the copyright holders of that
content [1].

Eun states that one of the principles that Google follows is "we try to
bring benefit back to content owners by partnering with them". I ask if
Google's aim "to help organize the world's information and make it
universally accessible" would be facilitated if they formalised this
partnership with the copyright owners by helping deploy the 'Rights
Office' system [2]?
