Del-Mi District | Crossroads of America Council
Boy Scouts of America
-2007 Centennial Quality District-

Cub Scout Leaders,

Due to the overwhelming response to our first round of community based Cub Scout leader trainings, the district has scheduled a second round.  These trainings are for both new and veteran leaders that have not already completed it for their current positions.  Den leaders, assistant den leaders, Cubmasters, assistant Cubmasters, committee chairs, and committee members should all take training appropriate for their registered position.

Please share this information with all leaders in your pack as it has not been previously published or distributed.

The trainings will be held on the following dates from 6 to 9 PM.  The training schedule provides the location of the training.

  • Den Leader Specific
(Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Leaders and Assistants)
    • October 14: Westfield
    • October 16: Fishers
    • October 21: Carmel
    • November 13: Noblesville
  • Cubmaster / Pack Committee Specific
(Cubmasters, Committee Chairs, Committee Members, and Assistants)
    • October 21: Carmel
    • November 13: Noblesville
  • Pow Wow Leader Training
    • This all day training includes leader specific trainings as well as many optional trainings designed to help you be a better leader.  The fee for this training is $20 or $30 depending upon when you register.  Further information is available online at www.crossroadsbsa.org.

A PDF version of the training schedule may be found online at www.del-mi.org/downloads/training/2008_fall_cs_training_rd2.pdf.

Leaders planning on attending this training do not need to RSVP. They simply need to arrive at the training location and check in at the door.  There is a $5 fee per per person for the community trainings.  This fee should be paid at the time of check in.

Thanks for helping your brand new leaders realize the importance of training and the value that they will receive from it.

Yours in Scouting,
Nat Baker
