Greetings, friends!
Attached is the November issue of DLO e-Stage, featuring information about auditions for The Great American Trailer Park Musical. This hysterical, crazy, (adult-only) satire features a cast of five women and two men, and it is an awful lot of fun! Auditions are coming up in just a bit over a week, so read on!
Those who would like to peruse the script will find it at the front desk of the Danville Public Library. Just sign it out from the front desk, read it at the library, and turn it back in when you are done. You can also learn more at the show's official website: http://www.trailerparkmusical.com/ (Please ignore that link to buy tickets! That's for professional productions in big cities.)
We are very fortunate to have Jodi L. Prosser directing this musical. It is her personal favorite, and when she directed it in Champaign at the Station Theatre in 2010, it was a complete sell out and received terrific reviews. In fact, it was brought to the attention of DLO's Reading Committee by a DLO Board member who saw the show in Champaign and loved it!
If you're not planning to audition, you should definitely plan on being in the audience! The show will run February 17, 18, and 19. This is DLO's annual dinner theatre, and what's better than a great meal followed by a lot of laughs and some terrific music?
Cheers!
Jeanne Dunn
DLO Board of Directors
P.S. Some of you may have received this twice. I wanted to include those who participated in Oliver, but have not yet had an opportunity to add them to the DLO e-Stage subscription list yet. Apologies for clogging your email with extras!
