e-Stage Alert: NEW DLO Chorus

Greetings!
Now that it's only a few weeks until A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC closes, I am finally able to start focusing on the DLO Chorus.
My hope is that we will have a rehearsal schedule ready to share with everyone the first week of March. The plan is to hold one rehearsal a month, and perhaps two in June prior to appearing on stage at Arts in the Park on Sunday, June 24, at 5 p.m. (Obviously, participants will need to be available for that performance!)
Participants will need to do some homework, because of the limited rehearsal schedule, and there may be optional pick up rehearsals if there is need/interest.
This chorus is open to anyone who has been involved in any way, on stage or off, with Danville Light Opera. Because this is a new venture for DLO, we will probably keep the chorus to a maximum of 25 people, and strive for vocal balance. If we fill the ranks and have more people interested, I am hoping to continue the chorus year 'round, to grow the group, and to seek other performance opportunities.
Although it was originally hoped that we would include children in this chorus, since we have a limited capacity, we are thinking that children 12 and up, and those with some choral experience, would be the best fit. If we do not reach our 25 person cap, we may be able to open up the range a bit.
The focus of the music will be musical theatre, but I think expanding to music from movies and television is also a possibility.
PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR INTEREST! I know that for some of you, it will depend on the rehearsal schedule, but I'm starting the list now, and want to be sure those who have already expressed interest are in that top 25. ALSO, when you confirm, please let me know your preferred vocal part (soprano, mezzo, alto, tenor, base). Obviously balance will be important, too! Email me at jea...@comcast.net to confirm that you want to be added to the list.
