DK overseas wild life trip

Good day guys

In our last exe committee meeting there was a suggestion to have a overseas wildlife trip to Srilanka and now we have a plan with the below details. If anyone interested to join. Please let me know ASAP

Plan is as follows

3 days trip to Yala National Park - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yala_National_Park

(which is starting from 11th Wednesday to 14th Saturday of March- People who is planning to join has to take one day off since we plan to fly on 11th night)

Total trip cost will be around 3000 QR. (inclusive everything)

Day 2	1	Yala National Park	Jetwing Yala – 5* Bed & Breakfast Basis Deluxe room + Packed Lunch	Engage in a Full Day Safari at the Yala National Park in search of the Elusive Leopard & Sri Lankan Sloth Bear (Packed Breakfast & Lunch will be provided)
Day 3	1	Yala / Airport (Approx: 05 hours drive)	Jetwing Yala – 5* Bed & Breakfast Basis Deluxe room	If possible one morning Safari then  farewell and a safe journey as you proceed to the airport in time to catch your departure flight.

Hi Friends

This is with regards to the above subject. We had a executive committee meeting in between to discuss about the overseas trip and it has been decided to postponed the said trip to later months. We will come up with a new plan shortly keeping the convenience of everyone. 

Same time i would like to request all of you to pour in your ideas. Lets start discussing about the trip from now onwards. Requesting everyone's participation in this pls...

guys when u reply send it to "dkmembers". coz some mails are gone to excom members only.

coz all these things should be discussed among all members. 

first point is our group is an umbrella to discuss and execute things which will help to improve our photography side.

so we don't need to take it as a personal trip even if the expenses are not from the association. the DK is a platform to unite, plan and execute ideas.

so please use it to the maximum. 

my suggestion is to plan this trip in August.

coz that is summer vacation and most of us will be available in india. so we can plan a trip which departs from there.

we can plan any destination in india, nepal, thailand or malaysia.  coz from kerala it will be comparatively cheaper  to all these destinations.

and another advantage is we don't need to take extra leave from the company since we will be already in vacation. 

and the places like north india, nepal, malaysia or bangkok will be good for street photography, nature, or architecture photography. 

i hope more people will come with better ideas.

I agree with Shahir.

The best time is in Aug. when most of us will be in Kerala. Nepal, far-east countries and Indian states will be easy reachable destinations from Kerala.

But personally I’m not interested in far-east (Malaysia, Sin, Thailand) this year, but I’m OK with Nepal or even thinking of Kailas-Manasarovar trip which will take 15 days from Katmandu.

if we all are going then the primary objective wont be sightseeing or photography or a long drive but it will be to have some fun time with all families togather... so its better to choose somewhere close.... munnar is a good option.... or kumarakom... some nice resort where ladies kids and us can enjoy ......

A family get together and short 1 day trip would be great. 

Another trip consisting of 2-3 days can be planned for photography/travel/adventure for which it should be bachelors only. If its a place not too far away or in South India then 2-3 days is feasible. If in North India then flight can be considered to be used for similar trip. 

I have a suggestion to conduct a photography exhibition in Cochin or Thrissur at a suitable place during the vacation time (Aug-Sept). The exhibiton should be multiple theme and consists of DK members photos only. If others are interested we can discuss further.
