Severely Lacking In Bass But Extremely Long Battery Life A Saving Grace

These are a pair of Bluetooth speakers, so it will support any tablet/smart phone with Bluetooth. I personally use it not for an iPad (I don't have one) but for my iPhone.

- Easy and Reliable Connectivity
I have no trouble connecting to the speaker. It works the first time every single time. The easy connectivity is a huge plus for me because I know how finicky Bluetooth can be with some devices. Once established, the connection is extremely stable. Now, if only Apple hadn't nested the Bluetooth switch 3 menu levels deep! Grrr...
- iLuv The Battery Life
I have used the speakers for about 8-10 hours and it's still going. (I'm going to run down the battery and report back on its approximate battery life.) [Update: Shortly after I wrote this review, the battery died. There you have it. The battery life is 8-10 hours -- not bad. Shortly before the battery dies, the unit gives off 3 beeps intermittently (about 8 seconds between
beeps). Quite annoying, really.]

The speakers are beautifully designed. Like Apple's keyboard, the main body is molded from a solid piece of aluminum (not plastic with cheesy silver paint!).

With bass boost on my iPhone, the speakers still sound worse than a cheap pair of desktop speakers (although the highs and mids are really clear).
- Construction Lacks Polish
Even though the set of speakers is
nicely designed, the construction lacks polish. The sides are roughly cut (cut marks are visible) and my unit has a minor (and thankfully inconspicuous) scratch on the bottom left of the unit. The rubber bumpers in the slot for the iPad are not glued on straight. Let's just say cosmetically, Apple quality these speakers ain't!
- No Battery Indicator
Yep. None.
- Non-User-Replaceable Battery
After the battery goes kaput, so do your speakers. (Although I suppose you might still be able to run them on external power.)

The main flaw with these speakers is the lack of bass response. However, I want to be fair and say that's to be expected from a pair of speakers this small. If you're looking for a portable and compact set of speakers that sound somewhat descent, these speakers are still worth considering -- especially since it has a few things going for it, like easy connectivity and an insanely long battery life. Overall, I give the
iLuv 3-¾ stars.

Wow - the iLuv Mo 'Beats Is 5 Star Awesome

Wow - just - wow.
We have tried all the leading Bluetooth speakers for iPads, Android tablets etc and the iLuv Mo'Beats just kills them
1. First off - the build quality is fantastic - nice heavy aluminum construction - not like the cheap plastic construction of speakers like the Logitech Mini Boombox
2. The stand is great for iPads or any Android tablet - you can fit your device even with a TBU case on
3. Sound quality is terrific - great highs, decent bass and lots and lots of volume

LOVE THIS!!!!

Saw one of my co workers with it and found it on Amazon. The price is comparable and the sound is better than expected to me. It's one of my favorite purchases (next to my iPad2). The fact that it's wireless and can be easily carried from place to place is the best!!! I get compliments on it all the time. I've definately gotten my money's worth with this item.
