Hi,
I'm new here... never really done the whole group thing but thought
I'd give it a shot. This disease tends to make you feel a little
alone in the world.
I am 28 years old and was diagnosed with Meniere's a little over 3
years ago (though experienced symptoms for roughly three years prior
to my diagnosis). I have an attack at least once every two weeks.
Sometimes their "eh" and I can sit quietly and sometimes I'm laying in
bed with a plastic bag to puke in. I've lost 85% of the hearing in my
right ear. I have incredibly annoying tinnitus that is in serious
need of volume control on some days. I consistently watch my diet to
ensure the minimal amount of sodium. I went down the path of man made
medicine and got no relief. I found an herbal regimen that worked
wonders until I got pregnant and had to stop. Since having my baby I
have discontinued all medication/supplements.
If there's anyone out there it'd be great to talk to someone who can
relate to the difficulty refraining from a bag of chips,
rollercoasters and sky diving!
