Hi all,

Some of you may have already heard or at least suspected: Darryl has
accepted a position as Assistant General Secretary at the General
Commission on the Status and Role of Women (one of the general
agencies of the UMC) and we will be relocating to Chicago, IL. The
exact timing of our move is dependent upon how quickly we can sell our
house in Decatur, however he will be starting work at the first of
March. Things may be happening very quickly.

I have been in the library, working diligently on cataloging and other
matters every Sunday during the Sunday school hour. In order to
prepare for my departure and ensure a smooth transition, I welcome
anyone and everyone who is interested to just spend some time with me
in the library on Sunday mornings. Our policy and procedure handbook
is up-to-date and filled with all the information necessary to run the
library, however some may find it more helpful to shadow me for a
while and ask me questions while you have the chance.

Assume that I will be in the library on Sunday mornings, starting at
9:45, unless you hear from me otherwise. We are planning to visit
Chicago at least once in the coming weeks to look for a new home,
although we have not set any specific dates yet.

See you on Sunday!
Myka

Congratulations on the position!  I hope that will work out well though we will miss y'all so much.  Janie

Myka,

Chicago is a great town.  Ask me stuff about it if you want.  My daughter lives there, so I can even see you when I'm up.  Ditto on the congrats--but even more congrats to GCSRW!

Hi all,

Our last Sunday will be March 29--two weeks away. I have talked with
Tricia about where things are. Anyone else wanting to know more about
where things stand with the library--cataloging, circulation, etc.--is
invited to drop by.

I hope to see some of you!
