update / action

dear listmembers--
just wanted to check in and see if anyone knows where things are at w/contract negotiations (are there any?) and budget stuff. does anyone know where things are at? i am finding the silence from the administration unsettling rather than reassuring.
also, i know it's a very busy time of the semester for us all and i'm sure i'm not the only one daunted by the idea of additional meetings/work, but if some of you aren't already underway with planning something, i'd like to propose that we meet sometime before the end of the semester to plan towards a march or action of some kind for the opening day of the legislature--i know we've discussed this possibility at meetings earlier this semester.
