Request to connect from CrisisMappers Japan

Hi all,

Below you will see a request that the DHN website received in the past couple of days from Taichi (copied) as part of Japan's CrisisMappers network.

In the request, Taichi specifically mentions rapid imagery after an emergency - such as access to Planet Lab / Digital Globe imagery. But, that they also work with OSM and Aerial photos.

If you are involved in such work and would like to connect with Taichi - in a preparedness capacity - do please reach out to his bilaterally.

"Mapping and Data Sharing as Aerial Imagery and Satellite imagery. We want to get fresh imagery data after the disaster. Like the Planet Rapid Response Team and Digital Globe. And also, if serious disaster happened in Japan, we will share a lot of imagery on the net. I hope, DHN can provide those data to digital humanitarians."

"We will make high detailed map on the OpenStreetMap. We will take a lot of Aerial Photos using by Drone. We will share many street-level imagery as 360 panorama.
