Thank you for renewing your club New Haven Bicycling Club (12151), we are pleased that you have chosen to be a part of Team USA Cycling for yet another exciting year!

Recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and the Union Cycliste Internationale, USA Cycling is the official governing body for all disciplines of competitive cycling in the United States, including Road, Track, Mountain Bike, BMX and Cyclo-cross. As a membership-based organization, USA Cycling comprises 64,000 members; 2,700+ clubs and teams; and 34 local associations. The national governing body sanctions over 3,100 competitive and non-competitive events throughout the U.S. each year and is responsible for the identification, development, and support of American cyclists. We strive to provide our members with the tools and resources to be successful. Whether your club is focusing on recreational riding or sponsoring competitive teams, you can take advantage of many services and benefits.

USA Cycling clubs receive the following benefits:

  • Complimentary club race director licenses that will be applied when a club race director successfully completes the Level C race director certification, allowing that individual to permit a competitive event with the club.
     
  • General liability insurance as well as ancillary event insurance for club events conducted under a USA Cycling permit.  Subject to stated insurance surcharge fees.  USA Cycling is able to aggregate its more than 700,000 participant days a years in order to give it purchasing power to negotiate superior coverage at incredible rates that all of its events get to benefit from.
     
  • Club Directors and Officers also have the ability to purchase liability insurance.
     
  • Being a registered club allows clubs to permit their events including competitive events, fun rides, Gran Fondos and non-competitive events. Clubs can use our online registration tools to help manage these events as well.
     
  • Club Directors and Officers also have the ability to purchase liability insurance.
     
  • Listing on the USA Cycling website on the club search feature and the ability to purchase club and rider mailing lists at a reduced rate.
     
  • Access to your Local Associations who can help with races, assigning officials, etc.
     
  • The use of the USA Cycling Club logo on club stationery, USA Cycling-permitted race announcements, and more. All uses must receive prior written permission from USA Cycling.
     
  • The opportunity to apply for USA Cycling Club of the Year designation in categories such as Junior, Interscholastic, Collegiate, Masters, Track, Mountain Bike, Cyclo-cross, Women, and Best New Club.

We are constantly improving our online tools and resources to better fit the needs of our members. As a club contact you can access club information, view their member roster, edit/remove club contacts, event organizers, and teams.  The club’s page can be managed from the “Tools” tab of your personal account.
