As you probably know, we're trying to rally some local volunteers to help the CCAP with the Connecticut Gran Fondo next weekend (Saturday, September 19th) A lot of you have been very generous with your time in the past for things like the New Haven Century, Arts & Ideas rides, tabling at fairs . . . I would like to ask you to please consider giving us a hand again if you are able. Hi Everyone!


Elm City Cycling is recruiting volunteers for what's shaping up to be a big weekend in New Haven cycling! We're helping the Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program launch their Gran Fondo from New Haven to Hartford on September 19th and we could use your help! We need course signers, check-in and rest station volunteers, ride marshals and people to help load bikes in Hartford for transport back to New Haven. Volunteers will get New Haven Bike Month t-shirts (while supplies last!) and all of the excitement of being a part of a great event that's going to put New Haven cycling in the eyes of the whole country. 

The weekend kicks off with the New Haven Grand Prix,

A twilight bicycle and street festival featuring a race with the country's best professional cyclists racing in downtown. Included will be The Taste of New Haven's Apizza Feast, outdoor beer gardens, live entertainment, climbing wall, urban MTB race, and a Kids Zone.

When: September 18th, 4-10pm

and continues with the Connecticut Gran Fondo

Two beautiful and epic rides through central CT. These challenging rides will take you through some of the most scenic riding Connecticut has to offer. You will finish in downtown Hartford. Optional bus transportation back to New Haven is included in your fondo entry. This will culminate in the Connecticut Cycling Festival on Sunday, September 20th.

When: September 19th @ 7am
