Topic: Seam is a new application integration framework from JBoss that
dramatically simplifies web/enterprise application development. In this
talk, we'll take a deep look into JBoss Seam. You'll see how the Seam
component model can liberate your development from the non-OO
development we've become accustomed to - from business objects that
have state but no behavior and from business components that have
behavior with no state. We'll look at how the Seam component and event
model can let you write simple, loosely-coupled business components,
almost completely eliminating the need for complex XML configuration
and removing the layers of glue code. We'll take a good hard look at
Seam's support for conversational pageflow, business process and rules.
We'll also spend time looking at some of the newer Seam features, life
AJAX support, and get a preview of some of the new Seam features under
development. We'll also spend some time talking about the new Web Beans
JSR which will bring many of Seam's innovations back into the Java EE
specification.
