Topic:

JBoss Seam is a very popular open-source application framework for
Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) 5.0. For web application
developers, a significant benefit of Seam is that it greatly enhances
JavaServer Faces (JSF) technology. For instance, Seam allows you to do
the following with your JSF application:

* Eliminate boilerplate code and XML hell
* Promote the correct way to use ORM
* Support RESTful URLs and page actions
* Direct JavaScript integration for AJAX
* Conversation and tabbed browsing support
* Expand the JSF EL use in configuration and test cases
* Elegant input validation
* Graceful exception handling
* Finely grained security model
* Business process and rule integration
* Very easy to test

Furthermore, Seam integrates with almost all leading JSF-based
component frameworks to support rich UI and Ajax components. This
presentation introduces Seam web features from the perspective of a
developer. It uses a lot of code examples and demonstrates live
applications. It also discusses RAD tools for getting a Seam JSF
project started. Developers attending this presentation will leave
with a basic understanding of exactly what Seam is, what problems it
solves, and how to get started.
