Dear All,

As everyone talks volume about the different jargaon modules and the
daily transactions that happen, what has this Master Data Management
got to do.

Master data needs to be consistent across the systems. For example...

Master Data has to be consistent across SAP BI, SAP R/3, Legacy
Systems. Implementation of MDM takes care of Master data which becomes
common for all the systems,

which means no need for separate master data for SAP R/3 or for SAP BI.
The Master Data alone gets exchanged between systems keeping MDM as the
Base.

What is the use of Making Master data consistent across systems.
* Allows you to take critical decisions at any time.
* Can be rest assured that the data is same and the change in any
configuration in any of the system does not affect the base of Master
Data
* Consider two companies have tie-up and they have two different
systems integrated, then there needs to be consistency of Mastera Data.

So....
1. How MDM Works?
2. What are the settings to be made in MDM or any other systems to
exchange Master Data?

We will have in further discussions....

Thanks and Regards,
Ragu
