DET-TRAC Meeting 7/18

We need to have a DET-TRAC meeting to take care of some old business
and develop plans going forward. I made room arrangements for 5:30 pm
next Wednesday, 7/18. Meeting place is room 202 (upstairs) at Lufkin
City Hall. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. It would be
helpful for officers/directors to attend so I can get signatures on
important changes to our 501(c)(3) paperwork.

Suggested agenda:

- Transition of responsibilities to new officers
- Update on 501(c)(3) filings (our non-profit status is not yet fully
approved by the IRS)
- Status of work at Kit McConnico
- Begin planning for Grand Opening of the new trail at Kit McConnico

If you have other suggestions for the agenda, please pass them along.
If the meeting time doesn't work, let me know. If we can't get enough
attendance, I will re-schedule.

Thanks you everyone who attended the meeting Wednesday. It was a
great meeting, with good progress toward our Grand Opening. I will
post the meeting minutes in the files section. We are planning for a
Grand Opening of the Kit McConnico trail on Saturday, October 13th.
Mark your calendar for this special event.

I spoke to JJ today. I am meeting him in Diboll for lunch next
Wednesday, 7/25 at 12:15pm. If you want to join us, let me know. All
are welcome. We will be talking about ideas for future DET-TRAC
activities and focus.
