Kit McConnico Trail Day, March 6th

DET-TRAC is scheduling a trail workday at Kit McConnico on March 6th
beginning at 2:00 pm. The purpose is to perform basic trail upkeep.
Specific items to address are shown below. We need all the
volunteers
we can get, so come on out and encourage others to do the same!
Clear some fallen trees. There is one on the phase II section after
the #4 bridge. Chainsaw needed.
Cement the Kiosk into place.
Need to re-secure the decking on bridge #6. David will get some long
screws to use. The runners are still ok structurally.
Add some additional rock and dirt over the culvert on Fox Run, i.e.
the new section. Need wheel barrows.
Rake leaves/pine straw from trail, especially on the new section and
the rock garden section.
Remove the trash cans located on the trail. We don’t want any trash
cans on the trails as there is no one to dump them.
There is some minor trimming needed if there if sufficient resources
are available.
