Assistant Commissioner of Developmental Services
The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services is pleased to announce that Eric Williams has been selected as the new Assistant Commissioner of Developmental Services.
Eric brings more than 34 years of experience across community and institutional settings, with a career dedicated to strengthening supports for people with developmental disabilities. He joined DBHDS in 2007 as a Community Resource Consultant and has most recently served as the Director of Provider Network Supports, where he has helped guide statewide efforts to expand capacity, improve service quality, and support providers across Virginia.
His deep knowledge of the system, commitment to partnership, and focus on practical, people-centered solutions will continue to advance the agency’s work in supporting individuals with DD and their families.
