Hi, im kenrick, the current dm.
Right now, we have 4 players playing classic d&d.
One has background in d&d, 3 have background in games in general, pc, board, and other rpgs.
One is our newbie (the widzard somore :D).

We meet in ss14, over at subang jaya. Another group, compromising of 2 of us, along with 2-8 friends meet at CC subang to play boardgames now and then.

say, how u get the pic up on the welcome message?

My name is Ivan and I am a gamer. <hi ivan>

I spotted this group when I was setting up a googlegroup for my own
gaming friends at: http://groups.google.com/group/gokl  so I'd thought
I'd check out other Malaysian gamers...

Anyway a brief introduction:

I've been gaming since 1987.  RPG's I've played include D&D 1st/2nd/
3d, Rifts/Robotech, White Wolf games like Vampire and Exalted,
Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu/Delta Green, Star Wars D6 and D20, Star
Trek, Heavy Gear and many others too numerous to list...

Nowadays my group tries to gather at Comics Corner Damansara Jaya
during the weekend for one kind of RPG or another. Currently I am in
the middle of a Heavy Gear campaign but many of our players also run
games so we're never short of things to play.

I'd like to know more about this group and their gaming
preferences....

formerly Magic the Gathering TCG.
I play the rogue btw =).

Its good to see that there are other d&d gamers using google groups. I

Oh those guys at www.dndkl.com. They also game weekly at CC DJ.
Very hardcore one. Using miniatures and maps and other proper
accessories.

Maybe some of you can meet up with them and trade war stories and all
that...

Or if any of you are at CC DJ saturday you might find my group there
playing
some sort of non-D&D atrocity, like Heavy Gear or Vampire or Exalted
or Shadowrun... o.o!

Since you wanted to know about our gaming preferences.....
For me, I'm not playing in this Subang group right now, but I'm
running light card/boardgames on the side. We just started playing in
the Subang Comics Corner. Not sure what the right term for those games
is; specialty boardgames? Stuff like Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne,
Citadels, Bohnanza, etc. Good for friends/family, either gaming or non-
gaming type, young or old, who want to play something short and easy.

Hi Elena,

There are several in my group that love boardgames too. In fact a
couple of them seem to amass a collection of these designer
boardgamers. Stuff like Descent, Twilight Imperium, Arkham Horror,
Battlelore, Game of Thrones, and too many others to enumerate...

Also we at times play card games like Magic and WoW...

Not so much for me though, I prefer RPGs myself. Though I am sure my
friends would love more people in their boardgames...

Hi all, I'm Stan, from Bukit Bintang. I have been GMing for 6 years
now, on mostly D&D and D20 Modern. There's other game systems like the
Unisystem which i have ran in a one off sessions like All Flesh must
be Eaten. Currently, i'm running D&D in Toybox @ Taman Paramount and
next month, will be starting a D20 Star Wars game.

My gaming group have gone through from medieval fantasy, WWII,
paranormal occult, futuristic, zombie filled apocalyptical worlds and
super hero/villains games.

it based on ?

If you meant game systems, i ran some zombie games based on the D20
Modern/Apocalypse and the All Flesh must be Eaten rule settings (The
system is designed to make it more tougher to survive and scarier).

Otherwise, it's storyline is mostly based on the popular Romero films
(I'm a big zombie film fan!), the Living Dead series.
