Monday 7/7 Work Session - DC Community Wealth Building

Hello everyone,

Thank you to everyone who attended our coalition meeting on Monday. We had a great discussion about our Community Wealth Building Day and different possibilities there are to make it happen and build power around strengthening the cooperative ecosystem.

We are aiming to have this event in October, as it will be National Cooperative Month. But that means we have to hit the ground running and begin putting our plans in action!

On Monday, July 7th, from 6 PM -8 PM we will meet at MLK Library  in conference room 401-A for our monthly work session where will discuss our work plan for the Community Wealth Building Day, delegate roles, and discuss the logistics for other aims of the coalition. It will be an important meeting, so we would love to see as many supporters there as possible. You can find our agenda here if you would like to review beforehand. 

The Community Wealth Building Day is looking like a great opportunity to not only bring people together around supporting DC's cooperative economy, but to also agitate and activate them to support our work moving forward. I'm looking forward to making the most of it with you all.
