Thank you so much for joining DC Community Wealth Builder's March Community Briefing and Welcome to our newest Community Wealth Builders! Please find slides for our presentation linked here. 

As we get ready to fight for a DC Land Bank, DC Public Bank, and infrastructure to support for Cooperative Conversions, here are some next steps we invite you to:

1. This Thurs, 4/2, 4-7pm at The Roost, Testimony Prep & Happy Hour: Let's hang out! We will enjoy Happy Hour at The Roost (1401 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, Washington, DC 20003) while DC CWB organizers will guide you through how to write and sign up to give DC budget testimony. Your voice is essential to make our vision for economically empowered communities a reality!
2. Fri, 4/3, 10 AM on Zoom, Monthly Coalition Meeting: Join our monthly virtual meeting where we will share updates, debrief the Community Briefing, and discuss our goals for Budget Season. This is a good chance to see how our coalition works and get more involved. New folks are very welcome!

Please let me know by texting or responding to this email if you do not see it or would like to be added. We will also have an additional Testimony Prep Session and our Monthly In-Person Work Session later in April, but stay tuned for more details.

Hi all!

Boosting one more reminder that we are meeting today from 4-7pm at The Roost (1401 Pennsylvania Ave SE) for our Testimony Prep and Happy Hour 

AND

We will meet tomorrow morning at 10am via Zoom for our Monthly Coalition Meeting.

Additionally Sam and I are on our way to a short notice meeting with Councilmember Henderson's office to talk about our policy asks! Wish us luck and we will report back tomorrow.
