Hey all! I have a great announcement today.
After months of working with DLCP and building relationships to get them to understand and be open to the OWNERS Act, I’ve gotten permission from their leadership to try another approach: have them make a webpage, flyer, and potential educational or outreach events related to worker-cooperative business conversions!
I’m very excited about this possibility and am looking to start drafting copy for a new page on their website. It might be more focused on “retiring” or “selling to your employees” instead of “co-ops” but I’d like to list resources where folks can go to dig deeper. I’m reaching out to you all because I’d love to get any language or resources that you think should be on a page about co-ops in general, but especially about how business owners can sell to their employees.
I’m planning to feature BCI for a local group and Project Equity for a national group to help folks sell to their employees. There’s a few more ideas I have, but please reply to me if you have thoughts, concerns, or ideas! I will be drafting some copy over the next week to then share with my team, get their approval, and then send to DLCP.
Excited for CWB Day and more to come!
