Follow up from February DC CWB Meetings

Hello everyone,

Wishing everyone the best as we pull through this cold weather. I wanted to follow up from our two meetings this month. Our three teams are collaborating beautifully toward their respective goals and we should all be very proud! 

There are a couple big full-group takeaways and questions I wanted to share:

1) We are continuing to prepare for Performance and Budget Oversight Hearings to fight for the CWB policies we want to see! Please fill out this link if you are interested in testifying and folks like Sam and Nadia from our Leg Team will support you in testimony prep. See Nadia's email from 2/6 for more details.

2) The Public Education and Legislative Teams are preparing a DC CWB Community Briefing (Sun, March 29th at 2pm) to invite DC residents to learn about DC CWB, ask them to advocate with us during budget season, and get feedback about what CWB means to them. We will have an Outreach Party on Feb 26th at 4pm at The Roost to begin getting the word out and enjoy some quality time with each other. Let me know if you would like to join!

3) We had engaging discussion on Friday about our Coalition Description. There were great points made on either side of the discussion, and as a path forward, we will convene an ad hoc team to generate a final proposal that we will vote on as a full group next month.
