Community Meetup Update!

This is more than a store - it's a community space, it's a community resource, it's economic empowerment, it's building community with neighbors, it's sustainable food security for future generations. At the meeting:

  • Hear and give feedback on current plans of the building process
  • Share your ideas for the kind of store we want
  • Learn ways you can engage in this project

We're really excited and looking forward to seeing old friends and new faces. Help us share about this project with friends, family and others in our community. Hope we'll see you there!

Catch Us at This Event...

We will be at the DC Community Wealth Building Day and invite you to come join us! We are so excited to honor National Cooperative Month with you in this way - by bringing together neighbors, cooperative members, advocates, and organizers to build power for and celebrate DC cooperatives and liberatory economies. To attend be sure to register at dccwb.com/cwbday25 . And we encourage you to share this invitation with 3-5 friends who might want to engage with this event!

On Saturday, October 25th from 10 AM - 4 PM, there will also be a Strategy Session to bolster DC's co-op ecosystem and shift the narrative about 'economic development' and who it serves. This will be an in-person event at Foundry United Methodist Church (1500 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20036) with lunch provided. Interested in folks engaging in cooperative or community wealth building work? Help the Community Wealth Builders develop and commit to distinct campaign goals to advance their work.
